Essam Nashed

Essam Nashed has spent more than four decades building laboratory, analytical, biotechnology, and medical technology businesses across the Middle East and Africa. Throughout his career, he has built and transformed regional operations from the ground up for leading international manufacturers, combining technical expertise, commercial leadership, and deep market understanding to create sustainable growth.

In 2014, Essam founded Global Vision Biotech (GVB), a strategic market access and business development company supporting international manufacturers of laboratory, life science, and medical technology solutions across the Middle East and Africa. GVB helps companies enter new markets, build high-performing distribution networks, and accelerate commercial growth across pharmaceutical, healthcare, academic, research, industrial, and environmental sectors.

Since 2017, GVB has managed BÜCHI Labortechnik's Middle East and Africa operations, establishing the regional structure, developing distributor networks, and driving significant business growth across more than 35 countries. Under his leadership, Middle East sales doubled in three years, with Africa sales up 50%.

Before founding GVB, Essam spent twelve years with Analytik Jena, leading the company's Middle East and North Africa expansion. He established the company's first regional operation in Egypt, later relocating and developing the business platform in Dubai. Starting from zero, he built the business to €5 million in revenue, expanded operations across 18 countries, developed a network of 28 distributors, and trained more than 100 sales and service professionals. He also established the company's first regional Competence and Training Center, introducing a train-the-trainer model that significantly reduced operational costs.

Earlier in his career, Essam held senior leadership roles with Minimar Scientific, Aptech, and Emitac, where he built successful laboratory and healthcare technology businesses, launched new market segments, and achieved significant commercial growth.

Essam holds a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medicine from Cairo University and has received specialized technical and commercial training from leading technology companies including Agilent, Beckman, Analytik Jena, BÜCHI, Dionex, and Radiometer. Combining scientific knowledge, regional commercial expertise, and proven execution capability, Essam helps international technology companies navigate complex markets, establish strong partnerships, and transform market opportunities into long-term business success.
